Thornhill Endoscopy Centre

             

Thornhill Endoscopy Centre (TEC) is a state-of-the-art facility specializing in colorectal cancer screening, and the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions. Since 2012, TEC has been a leading endoscopy clinic where patient-centred care is delivered with the highest standards in quality and safety. We are conveniently located at 390 Steeles Avenue West (between Bathurst & Yonge St). We are close to highways 7 and 407, allowing for easy access from any location in the Greater Toronto Area. We offer plenty of FREE PARKING to all of our patients. There are designated parking spots right in front of our clinic for convenient patient pick up and drop off. There are NO FEES for patients with valid OHIP cards!

 

Services

 

Our board-certified specialists are fellows of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. They include Surgeons, Gastroenterologists, and Anesthesiologists who have privileges at local GTA hospitals, allowing for easy patient access to hospital if necessary. We are not just a “scope clinic” like many others. At TEC, our team of professionals take pride in working together to ensure that all our patients’ needs are met and expectations surpassed. Conditions ranging from GERD, peptic ulcer disease, H. pylori testing, diverticular disease, colorectal cancer, and anorectal conditions (hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas) are treated with the latest, and most innovative equipment and techniques. Our goal is to care for our patients in a dignified fashion by offering competent, evidence-based care, and to lessen suffering as patients struggle to deal with an area of the body that is sensitive. We do not just “scope” you and send you back to your family doctor without addressing your condition and concerns. Referrals

 

A referral from your family physician is required. If you do not have a regular physician, you can see a physician at a walk-in clinic and ask for a referral. Once we receive your referral, we will take care of everything else and make sure you are looked after every step of the way. Typically, you will be seen within two weeks from the time of your referral. This leads to an immediate diagnosis and treatment plan resulting in optimal patient care. We will inform you of your test results IMMEDIATELY after your procedure. Appropriate follow-up visits will be provided to patients who need it, and referrals for further care are made. Moreover, patients who are found to have significant Gastrointestinal pathology (such as Colorectal Cancer or Inflammatory Bowel Disease), will be taken care of by our specialists right away, while keeping you and your primary care physician informed every step of the way. TEC is truly a “one-stop” facility, ensuring that you receive the best comprehensive care.

  • Push Enteroscopy

  • Colonoscopy

  • Sigmoidoscopy

  • Hemorrhoids Treatment (Barron Ligation, Cryotherapy, Hemorrhoidectomy, THD https://proctocan.com)

  • Anorectal Surgery (fissures, fistulas, abscess)

 

We offer additional services to our patients, such as an easy breath test for Helicobacter Pylori bacteria that can cause ulcers and cancer in your stomach, and a simple 10 minute test for Celiac Disease. Moreover, higher risk patients (e.g. older patients with multiple medical conditions) will have full assessments by our anesthesia specialists before their procedure.
